Ryan
has truly spent his life in percussion. He
graduated USC magna cum laude with a music
performance degree in percussion, and also spent
a summer in West Africa studying djembe and
balaphone. He has performed with the South
Carolina Philharmonic, Florence Symphony, Augusta
Symphony, J'Ouvert Steel Band, and in various
local churches and schools. Ryan currently enjoys
the status of Artist in Residence from the SC
Arts Commision and provides accompainiment to the
Columbia College Dance Department. He has taught
percussion in one way or another since 1999, and
is accomplished on most percussion instruments
including but not limited to drum set, djembe,
bells, timpani, and steel drums.
