Chance
Glass is the recipient of a Master of Music
degree from USC. There, he studied the classical
guitar with Christopher
Berg.
Chance also holds a Bachelor of Music degree
from Valdosta State University, where he
studied with Nephtali
Santiago.
He has also studied classical guitar
with Dr. Andrew Zohn
Chance has over 17 years experience teaching the guitar in various styles including the electric, acoustic, and classical guitar. He has been instructing students at Star Music since 2001. He is on the music faculty at Midlands Technical College and has also taught at the University of South Carolina Community Music Program.
Chance is well versed in a variety of styles. Over the years he has had the opportunity to perform in classic rock, metal, country, blues, jazz, jam and punk bands. He has performed all over the south with Spirit Dance, Neptune, The Shazam, Audio Iris, The Potion, and the Family Jones Band. In addition, he has performed solo recitals, weddings, corporate, and private parties. He has also performed in many stage musicals such as Pippin, Godspell, and Jesus Christ Superstar.
Chance enjoys teaching students of all levels and all ages. He also enjoys teaching different styles of music while concentrating on musicianship and technique. Realizing that each student comes to the guitar with a different background and set of goals, he meets the student where they are and guides them toward their goals.
